iGlobal LLC Introduces Portable In-Cab Computer and Document Imaging System with the Release of the “EDGE MDT”
(Ocala, Florida) – iGlobal LLC, the leading provider of in-cab document imaging systems for the transportation industry, is pleased to announce the commercial release of their EDGE Mobile Data Terminal (MDT). With its unique “all-in-one” design, the EDGE MDT combines a custom in-cab PC, a 10 inch touch-screen monitor, and an industrial grade scanner all into a rugged hard case.
The EDGE MDT gives customers the option to mount it in the cab or use it as a fully functional portable device that can easily be transferred from one truck to another. If any fleet has to occasionally use a rental truck, they can now use the EDGE MDT as a portable unit and still have all of the functionality that iGlobal’s fixed mounted unit offers. If a fleet is running electronic logs, the drivers don’t have to revert to paper logs if they are in a rental truck. Instead, they simply plug in the EDGE MDT and they are ready to go.
